Comprehensive guides and reference documentation for PixelSuite.

Adverts Overview

Pixelsuite supports four types of signage content:

Type Description URL
Image JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP images displayed on screens Image Adverts
Video Video files played on screens Video Adverts
Audio Background or ambient audio tracks Audio Adverts
Menu Digital menu boards with categories, items, and prices Menu Adverts

Advert List Page

The advert list page at /signage/advert/list shows all adverts for your account, organised by type (tabs or sections for Images, Videos, Audio, Menus).

Assigning Content to Channels

All advert types (except Audio) can be assigned to channels or playlists either during creation or afterwards via a Link to Channel action. Assignment includes scheduling options — you can set:

  • On-screen time (seconds) — how long the advert displays per cycle (not applicable to video, which plays for its full duration)
  • Date range — optional start and end dates
  • Time window — optional daily start and end times
  • Days of week — which days of the week the advert should be shown

Suspending vs Deleting

  • Suspend — Temporarily removes the advert from all channels it is assigned to, without deleting it or its channel mappings. It can be resumed later.
  • Delete — Permanently removes the advert and all its channel/playlist assignments.

Smart Upload (Bulk Upload)

The Smart Upload tool allows you to upload multiple images, videos, and audio files at once. It automatically detects file type and orientation, and can pair landscape and portrait images into a single advert. See Smart Upload below or access it from the dashboard Quick Actions.

Smart Upload Process

  1. Drag and drop files (or click to browse) into the upload zone. Accepted: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, video files, MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC. Maximum 500 MB per file.
  2. Each file is analysed — images are checked for orientation (landscape/portrait), video metadata is read, audio is tagged as N/A.
  3. If two images share the same base filename with opposite orientations (e.g. banner-landscape.jpg and banner-portrait.jpg), they are automatically grouped as a paired advert (one advert with both aspect ratios).
  4. Review and edit the titles for each item in the preview grid.
  5. A summary bar shows counts: image adverts, paired adverts, videos, audio.
  6. Click Create All to upload everything. Results are shown on completion.

Storage

Each account has a storage quota. If the quota is reached, new file uploads will be blocked until existing content is deleted. Storage usage is visible on the Manager Dashboard.
