Video Adverts
Video adverts play a video file on signage screens. Videos play for their natural duration — there is no configurable on-screen time.

Video Processing
After upload, the video is processed by the video transcoding service, which:
- Transcodes the video to an optimised format.
- Extracts an automatic thumbnail image.
- Uploads both the video and thumbnail to storage.
Processing happens automatically. The advert is available for use once processing completes.
Managing a Video Advert
From the advert profile page:
- Edit — Update title, description, layout, and venue. Optionally replace the video file.
- Replace Video — Upload a new video file to replace the existing one. A new revision is created.
- Link to Channel — Assign to a channel with scheduling options.
- Suspend / Resume — Toggle the video on/off across all assigned channels.
- Delete — Permanently remove the advert and all assignments.
Revision History
Each time the video file is replaced, a revision record is created tracking the video file, thumbnail, duration, and the user who made the change.
